It's 2018 on the islands of Lagos, Nigeria and however hard Ekene, Tomilola and Elvis try to convince themselves that they're okay, they know they aren't.
Ekene had always struggled to be noticed and acknowledged, but now, as it extends to even his house, he decides to give up. It's unfortunate when peer pressure lands him into a deep tunnel he will also struggle to get out of.
Elvis is of the coming age where he realizes that everyone was created widely differently, and Tomilola's tenacity is what would take her places, keep her from going to places and get her in a situation she didn't plan for.
One story, three points of view, numerous lessons.

The last thing Alisha ever expected to do the summer before heading to university was volunteering at a juvenile prison, and too bad her pastor father is hell bent on making her do it to cover the scandal rocking his home and church. August used to be star student and beloved son until he murdered his step father and gets put in Mary Slessor Youth Detention Center to rot until he is an adult to stand trial properly. Too bad he is already counting down to the days he gets to kill himself and he's not going to let anyone talk him out of it, or fix him, not even Alisha, the girl he once knew. Things don't go as planned for Alisha, hearts get broken, dreams get dashed, but life must go on, even if she doesn't want it to.
