"Wait, don't go," I said barely above a whisper, but Jack indeed did hear, almost as if he was listening for it. "Can you stay with me? At least until I fall asleep," I replied, watching as he slightly smiled and agreed to my request before coming over to join me in bed. It was then he invited me into his arms, just like how he had fifteen years ago. I rested my head against his chest, listening to his heart beating as he wrapped his arms around me tight. Smiling, I was happy in the moment, and the world didn't matter one bit. I was with my Jack and that was all that mattered.
