The reason why we have to win - Billie Eilish fan fiction

Billie is a 17 year old girl, living alone, not rich at all, having a lot of family problems. She doesn't expect to have a great future. However the day after her 18th birthday, she starts a little job in her spare time, to gain more money, and someone offers her an interesting proposition, and she will be paid.
She hesitates at first, but ends up accepting. This 'someone' attracts her, even if it's not right, for certain reasons.

"I shouldn't have accepted ..." she said, sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Of course you do! Look, you have me ..." He approached her, and strokes her cheek with the tip of his fingers.

She pushed him away, slightly, then look at him in the eyes.

"Exactly ... You're the reason why I shouldn't have accepted..."
