Tennessee Rhodes lives the model life. She's pretty, popular, put together, and has stright As. All of her teachers love her and she has enough friends to last her a lifetime. She loves to smile, and she's good at it, too. Pretty much the entire male population at her school is in love with her. But despite living the perfect life, there's a lot more to her than what meets the eye. She lives under a tarp of hurt and confusion, and has since middle school.

When Cash Austin moves in a few doors down, Tennessee is repulsed by him. He's ruggedly handsome, but he's a jerk. He cusses, he's arrogant and stuck-up about his baseball career, and to top everything off, he thinks Tennessee is head over heels for him. Tennessee wants nothing more than to pitch a line drive full of sense straight into his pretty face.

But when she accidentally discovers Cash's biggest secret, destroying the diamond walls he's contructed, Tennessee finds it a struggle to keep her own walls from crumbling to dust. Suddenly, she doesn't know how to act with Cash around. Her typical confident, indifferent aura is often nowhere to be found when she needs it most desperately. It confuses and frustrates her, and she stresses so much about it she starts forgetting her priorities.

Does Cash feel the same way? Is he really the arrogant moron Tennessee thinks he is?

Dive in to see if Tennessee finally opens up to someone about her past.
