Her skin glows, her fingertips draw to points like a lion's claws. She smiles at the thought of inflicting pain on those in front of her.
And this terrifies her.
It has been three months since Adeira Langston secured her place at Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. She feels safe, her heart is warmed. She's in love with a moody boy who cherishes her above all others, save a little girl with blonde curls. She's living a happy and wonderful life filled with peculiars close to her heart.
However, Adeira has discovered that her peculiarity entails more than just the manipulation of electricity. Though this exhilarates her, she is frightened of what she might do the next time she loses control.
In order to learn more of her peculiarity's power, Adeira seeks correspondence behind the backs of her friends, her ymbryne, and of Enoch O'Connor.
