Elliott Treyson has been in a bad mental state ever since the night of the killings. He clearly doesn't remember what happened, and clearly the police knows he is the killer. Since he is underage, he can't serve a life prison sentence. So after he serves his term, he has to be assigned to therapy with one of the best new therapists in the country. But once he arrives, something seems familiar, his therapist was going to high school with him and she clearly had a crush on him but he didn't know.
In this story, two people learn to cope together through a tough situation, but, once someone gets happier, the other gets worse.
