The Borrower and the Fairy Prince
*Completed* Virgil has never had it easy, not since he was kicked out of his home by his own father. He's struggled to survive, and has fought for food. He sees what should have been an easy meal, some berries on a tree hanging over the river. It should have been easy to get it, of course the stupid branch had to break and he was sent plummeting into the river. Roman loves to sneak away from his colony and his fae duties to head to the river, he's always wondered what is on the other side of it. Of course, he and everyone else in his colony is banned from crossing it. One day though, a stranger with no wings and a tail washes up on the river bank. When he takes him back to the colony, he's put in charge of taking care of him. Thomas has inherited his home from family, it's in the middle of nowhere in a forest. It was nice, and not too far from his home is a nice river he can explore. Of course it can't be so simple though, since Thomas is in debt and could very well lose the home. Not wanting to lose a home that had been in his family for so long, he struggles to find some way to pay it off. 'Looking for quiet roommate.' 'Located in quiet area.' 'Apartment has previously received noise complaints.' Virgil groaned and tossed his phone onto his bed, burying his face in his hands. He just needed an apartment that would be okay with his job. Trying to keep to his price range and find what he needed was proving to be so much harder than he thought it would. This would be his first time moving somewhere that he didn't know the owners of the place beforehand. "Welcome to YouTube life, idiot." Virgil grumbled to himself. He picked up his phone again, going to close out of the app he was using, but suddenly a line on one that he hadn't looked at caught his eye. 'Must be willing to allow for eccentric work ethics and schedules, as owner of the apartment works independently online.' Virgil tapped on the listing and began to read. 'Four bedroom apartment, looking for up to three roommates. Apartments beneath and above are both empty at the moment, noise is not a problem so long as residents are courteous. Preferred that applicants are male.' Virgil stared at the listing. This was so... so perfect. He closed the app and tapped his messenger app. 'Hey Pat, I think I found something.' Disclaimer: I just reread A Lesson in Practicality by @residentanchor, so there might be some things ever so slightly similar to that, but if there are I am not doing it on purpose and I apologize.
