Ever since I was around the age of twelve, I always had an interest in werewolves. I wanted to meet one, to be a wolfs mate. I wanted to be marked by one so I could be known as that wolfs mate. I wanted to be cherished by a wolf. But I knew that werewolves didn't exist. Until it happened.
I was just on my normal morning run in my neighborhood. My neighborhood was peaceful and quiet with an occasional kid laughing while riding their bike. There was trees surrounding the neighborhood,as it is in a forest about 30 minutes from the city.
I was running in the early cloudy morning listening to my current favorite song "Bellyache" By Billie Eilish. I looked up at the once bright blue sky that had now turned into a dark grey due to rain clouds. All of a sudden I ran into something hard.
"Mate.."
I looked to see a guy of about 6' standing in front of me. He had captivating icy blue eyes and dark brown hair that I wanted to run my fingers through. His skin was a nice tan color that made his eyes stand out even more than they already did. He was tall and muscular. He was gorgeous.
"Im sorry what did you say?" I questioned as I took my AirPods out of my ears.
"Mate...you are my mate. Im Alexander Grey Im the alpha of my pack and you are my mate." Alexander said as he looked down on me.
My heart skipped a beat. Was he telling the truth? Or was it just some sick joke his friends dared him to do. Could werewolves actually be real?

He was muscular, and from the shirt he put, you could see his 6 pack and toned abs. His face was a beauty. I could stare at him and never get bored. "What the hell?" I thought. Why was I drooling over a guy like that? I was so busy thinking about the sexy stranger that I didn't notice, he was so closer to me. I look at him and suddenly out of the blue, he put his right hand on my cheek. Like he was admiring me, making sure I was no illusion. At that very moment, I felt sparks from the contact of our skin in my body and everything became a blur to me. Only one word could be form in my mouth. The famous word "mate". My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife.
