14 year old Silkya lives in the heart of the city, full of towering apartments, massive storefronts, cloud-coated skyscrapers, echoing footsteps, the roar of engines and floods, upon floods of animals. On yet another day of restlessness, the young Jerboa sneaks out to admire the currently empty streets and enjoy the calm that comes with the sunlight, when she stumbles upon a mysterious building. Curious as to what could be open at such an hour, she investigates and finds the place strangely familiar...

Heya! Thanks for viewing my story. This Is a bit of backstory for my oc, Silkya (Silk-kee-ya) and I plan on writing about her some more. This also takes place in the same universe as some of my other characters, which you might have seen or will see on my Instagram (Kuzi, Quara, Fleur, and Sabera.) I plan on writing about them also, some with their separate stories as well as a larger joint one. There's a lot to cover though, so it might take a while. After this, I'm going to start writing a short story similar to this one about Kuzi's backstory. Once I've finished I'll post a book explaining the universe and lore, things like the world map, the society, magic, origin etc.

Since this is the first short story I've written in a while I would really love some feedback and your thoughts. Any critique on the plot, pacing and overall writing would be great! Thanks!
