"If you let me go-" He grabbed me by my jaw- cutting me off. 

"You won't tell anyone?" He laughed. "Oh, I've heard all the pleading and bargaining bits plenty of times before. It doesn't work." He released my jaw and replaced his grasp on my throat- pushing me back down onto the cement floor. "Out of all the girls I've tracked you just had to be for my brother." His free hand reached up to caress my cheek. "If you weren't for him I'd-" His grip tightened on my throat.
