This is a story where Hiccup wasn't the son of Stoick the Vast, or born on Berk for that matter. Instead he was still the son of a chief but to a different tribe.
Hiccup was born with special abilities and his parents knew about them. To keep him safe they told him to keep his abilities a secret. What happens when he has to go to Berk for a treaty renewal. Will his powers be revealed or will they go unnoticed?
Don't worry Toothless will probably be in this book. Hope you all enjoy!

How to Train Your Dragon Rider
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is the only son of Stoick the Vast, chief of the Hooligan tribe. As his only son, he is next in line for the chiefdom which wouldn't be a problem, if he wasn't a runt. Viking's believe that a name is what strikes fear into your enemies. Hiccup's obviously doesn't. The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him. But now, now he finds the blessings in the curse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I really hope you enjoy this fanfic!! It focus' on Hiccup being a bit more than human.
