A fun historical fantasy set in France of 1900, For All The Paris Gold is about Bijou Legrand, a sixteen-year-old future businessman who has something he holds dear taken away from him by the Fae. Now, he has to travel to Paris to take back what is his.
Meanwhile, the Exposition Universelle is around the corner, and the Fae are gaining their power. Joined by six people who shared his goal, they had to make sure they arrive in time before they get caught, or time runs out.
A casual retelling of Brothers Grimm's Six Servants, this is a road trip story with magic and tales, some dash of steampunk, and a whole lot of chaos.

But that design choice was made by the home's previous occupant, the witch Agatha, who had tried to steal the youthful bodies of Gretel and her brother Hansel. The witch had misused her magic though, and as punishment the house took away her human form and trapped her inside of a gingerbread one. Gretel has big dreams though. She wants to expand their little cottage into the finest set of lodgings in all of Germany. Money is an issue. As are the tricks Agatha plays against on the customers, always trying to worm her way back into a human form. The money problem could be solved by a wealthy investor, such as her neighbor Thomas, but that man only has one thing on this mind. And then the war came. Across the border the French have overthrown their King and established something called a Republic. German troops march west to avenge the death of their Emperor's brother-in-law and Hansel has marched with them. What's more the magic in the house is fading. The witch Agatha says it needs a new Master to make new rules and new spells, or else it will melt away into nothing. But is Gretel up to the task?Complete

A Swing in the Park
It was the summer of 1976 when my father left us. It was a particularly memorable summer and my mother suffered terribly. My father had left her for a younger woman and moved into her apartment which was above a flower shop where she worked. My mother struggled making ends meet and got a job as a nursing assistant at Peaceful Haven, an old folks home that still exists although it is very badly run down now. Because she could not afford a baby sitter, my mother took me to work where I sat in the lounge and watched TV and read books. On her lunch breaks she took me across the street to Faulkner Park where she made out with Fred while I wandered around eating my sandwich. But I quickly grew bored. I was 8 then, a bright young girl with an active imagination. I imagined doors in the sandbox, swings into the sky, doors to another world. And in the rooms of the old lost souls were more doors only waiting to be opened. I took those souls with me on my adventures and eased their loneliness and age with my contagious eagerness to believe anything. And then a terrible thing happened to me, so terrible I could not speak of it. I was in hospital, unable to believe anymore and my old friends came to visit me and to believe for me. I am 30 now, and as I write this and look back I wonder if I still believe. And yes, I do. Believing got me through that summer and believing got my father to come home again.Complete
