~Long, long ago, according to old stories of the Dark Brotherhood, the Night Mother is the wife of Sithis. In the second era, she and Sithis had 5 children. She was told by the Dread-Father to kill their five young children in his name, and after the deed was done, Sithis gave her the honor of being his eternal wife and deemed her the head of the Dark Brotherhood.
~Slightly less long ago, a ginger man was born during the 4th Era, around year 174. That man was Cicero. He doesn't tell anyone about his life before arriving at the sanctuary in Cheydinhal city, Cyrodiil. It's been assumed, however, that he was born in Bruma city, Cyrodiil, and initially joined the brotherhood there.
~ What little we do know of him is as follows: after the sanctuary in Bruma was destroyed by Imperial forces trying to wipe out the Dark Brotherhood, he moved to Cheydinhal, and after the Night Mother's tomb was desecrated in Bravil, Cyrodiil, her body was moved to the Cheydinhal sanctuary, and Cicero was appointed her Keeper. His journals tell of his feelings about the whole situation. Before being made Keeper, he was an extremely successful assassin and loved the work, but keeping an ancient corpse well preserved takes a lot of time. He was allowed one last contract, which was an unnamed jester.
~Cicero's journals tell us that he was driven to madness by this final kill, for soon after the Cheydinhal sanctuary was sacked, and he fled to Skyrim with Lady Death's corpse. The isolation caused him to hallucinate the jester's laughter and his songs. It's stated that the unnamed jester never once stopped laughing.

Born as an outsider, (Y/N) was born right on the southeastern border of the Empire in a large town. But with no family or friends, he grew up as homeless orphan, doing whatever to survive. This eventually lead to him fleeing his homeland and living a life in the wilderness with nothing but rags for clothes, a silver urn, and an Imperial Arms with enough power to cause an apocalypse all on its own. This lasted for a few years before he managed to stumble into the Empire's Capital, AKA the Imperial Capital. His first few months weren't much different his earliest days back in his homeland aside that the Empire was much larger and he was much older, larger, wiser and powerful. Without much of an option, (Y/N) quickly turned to a life of criminal activity, leeching off the more corrupt members of society. This would end up in a lot of deaths and the attention of something more than just one man, the Imperial Army. One fateful encounter with an Imperial Officer lead to his capture and being taken into custody. One conversation with the Empire's Minister later and he now served for the Imperial Army directly under the Minister as the "Right Hand Man". After a few months of service, (Y/N) quickly saw that not only the Army was corrupt, but the Empire as a whole. The monsters that people feared most didn't live in the wilderness, but were disguised as people. One day, (Y/N) made a vow: To bring the Revolution. And he would do by any means necessary. However, two things will complicate this process. Night Raid, a group of revolutionary assassins who serve the people and have the same ultimate goal as (Y/N). Esdeath, a general who hails from the northern frontier and is proclaimed as the Empire's Strongest. But (Y/N) didn't expect this to be an easy road. Nothing in his life had ever come easy. But with his goal in mind, his mentality became simple. Anyone that stood in his way will Fade To Black.

"She was a child born of darkness and light, the union of two different worlds. A true child of Night, they called her- born at midnight under a full moon during the longest night of the year. But she was more than the darkness she was born into. Just like the stars shine against the night sky, so she shines with a light that pours onto everyone she loves. She is the light in my darkness, the star in my sky. She is everything to me. My mate. My equal. My queen." Willow Alnazar was a unique case- the child of a High Fae mother and an Illyrian father, she was born with a power never before seen, a power that earned her the nickname of "The Banshee". Willow always felt caught between worlds, never really belonging anywhere. In Windhaven, she was a cross-breed female with wings broken in a childhood accident. In Velaris, she was first a latchkey kid of a broken mother and then the sole guardian of her little sister. But when she's kidnapped in the middle of the night and taken to another Court, she knows her quiet life in Velaris is over. Rhysand was a broken male- he'd never truly recovered from what he went through Under The Mountain. But as the High Lord of the Night Court, he puts on a brave face, showing strength to his Court when he feels only a step away from falling apart. But as Hybern starts to march on Prythian, Rhysand puts more and more on his shoulders until it feels he might crumble. Not feeling safe enough to share his pain with anyone, not even his Inner Circle, he continues to feel more isolated and alone. But then everything changes during the High Lord's meeting. Everything changes when he sees that white-haired female wearing a golden mask. And just as the stars and moon bring light to the night sky, so Willow would come to bring the light back into Rhysand's life. And maybe, just maybe, she would help save all of Prythian in the process.
