The war with Gaia is over, but alas, the life of a demigod is never easy. Rachel Elizabeth Dare is having troubling visions of a dangerous new foe, and monsters have been spotted gathering throughout the United States. It soon becomes clear that this is no false alarm, when Rachel utters the next Great Prophecy.

The news that the God Hades' great Helm of Darkness has been stolen, comes soon after, leaving Camp Half-Blood shaken. Now it's up to Darren, a son of Apollo, Nico di Angelo and Lou Ellen Blackstone, to find the helm before it's too late.

But as they encounter old and new foes alike, and come across things that are more powerful than they can ever imagine, can they truly find the Helm of Darkness?

Note: The story takes place about six months after the Giant War, and in a world where the events of 'The Trials of Apollo' never occurred.
Many, if not most of the characters are owned by Rick Riordan, whom I'm not affiliated with in any way. Even then, some of the characters do belong to me.

But when Rachel Dare has a fainting fit and reveals a prophecy that shatters the allusion that they'll have even a sort of normal life. Percy is yet again thrown into a quest that is going to take all of his powerful friends to accomplish. But the person he needs most will have to be left behind. Violet didn't ask for this. She never does. It was an accident. But she knows it's not. With the threat of getting kicked out of yet another school Violet has to keep her wits with her as she tries to brave the horrors of high school her senior year. But when another "accident" results in her trashing the auditorium and meeting a dark haired green eyed boy Violet learns that her normal life has never been normal at all. Thrust into a world she doesn't understand with powers she can't control Violet learns some truth about herself and about her parents. Their quest takes them somewhere few have been and come back from and brings together the most powerful group of demigods the two camps have ever seen. Everyone knows their quest will be full of danger. Monsters will be everywhere they turn. If they forge ahead they may not even make it back alive. But if they don't no one will be alive.
