Those that bear a mark are called magicians and are revered by the common person; these magicians have allowed for relative peace but it could only last so long. Demons have began appearing in higher numbers and casualties are increasing. Guilds and governments are scrambling to find the reason before they must abandon their cities to the growing hoards, adding to the ever expanding deadlands.
