Pixie and Sofie Evenlyre are normal tween girls from the town of Ville Coraile, a French beach town in Quebec, Canada. At least they think so? Their life in their small town is mostly uneventful. That is, until their mom has a huge accident and breaks her ankle in three places... then, the twins start to notice something strange about Pixie. It seems as if she can see everything that Sofie's thinking, but they soon realize its not what they think.
Soon, they both notice small transformations in themselves. They start to have dreams about eyes glowing golden like a tiger's, slicing through the darkness. They start to discover secrets about the power that they hadn't imagined before. They face betrayals, near death, and a lot more nightmares. Two tween girls suddenly are facing the full dark force of the world...
Even Sofie, who secretly felt as if she was talentless compared to her powerful twin, starts to exhibit humanly impossible feats of strength, speed, and agility. Terrified, they try to keep their secret from everyone. But after a while, both the twins become too powerful to hide their true selves.
They can't stop the predators inside of them. The worlds of their ancestors is about to collide in front of their eyes, and in their heart of hearts, they don't know if they can manage to stop it from happening.
