This is the story of Tarrick, a Davrian, part of the species that dominates the world of Taerh-Kobern, a world cyclically ravaged by cyclical natural disasters. While Tarrick would prefer to stay home and read or sell his books in his bookshop-on-a-boat, the legacy of the Chroniclers, a long line of travellers who chronicle... everything... about this strange world, is thrust upon him. So Tarrick has to leave everything he's known behind to go farther than he could've ever imagined.
