"i promise to stay, even when times are tough," the japanese boy giggled, hugging his best friend close.

jaehyun smiled, returning the hug, "and i promise to protect you, even if the situation is scary."

the two boys laughed as they fell back on the soft bed, forgetting all about the movie that was playing on the large tv screen. the thirteen year old boy's laughter stopped, his gaze set upon his best friend. he gulped nervously as he looked at how his nose wrinkled, his eyes closed shut, and the corners of his mouth turned up into a large smile. yoonoh felt his heart beating inside his chest.

then a thought flashed across his mind.

'i love you yuta hyung'

jung yoonoh had always admired his best friend, nakamoto yuta. ever since he saw the elder sitting by himself during lunch he knew he wanted to befriend the elder. they shared every moment together, first time breaking a bone, first time failing an exam, even witnessing each other's first break up. once the younger started high school he realized he had feelings for yuta, but for the sake of their friendship, he kept them to himself.

years later, jaehyun's feelings are still the same, but he is too late and another has already taken his best friend away from him.

now all he could do is replay their memories.
