How to Survive

Lucy's life is less than perfect. Her mother is dead and her father is a raging alcoholic whose condition is worsening. The worst part of her story? She must protect her little brother, Sam, from it at all times. When her father suddenly dies, however, Lucy is stuck fending for her life and trying to keep her brother out of foster care. She is forced to quit school and move into an apartment building in a less than desirable part of town. When she meets a young man named Cody, will she finally learn to trust people again? Or will getting involved with a stranger make her life even harder?
