He took a long drag from his cigarette and puffed out streams of smoke. It trailed and danced against the streetlight, eventually disappearing into nothing. My senses soon picked up a combination of sweet vanilla and leather. I never really understood how he made cigarette smoke smell so appealing.
"No? What do you prefer then? A hardy handshake? A quick, emotionless nod?"
He chuckled, "cute Doll, but no. I think trust is more important than love."
Now intrigued, I questioned him further, "care to explain?"
He finished up what was left of his cigarette bud and tossed it away, "no, I don't think I will, Doll."
I thought for a moment and still wondered if he actually trusted anyone other than his brother. I couldn't imagine him trusting anyone else, but I couldn't contain my question any longer,
"Do you trust me?"

This isn't necessarily my first time writing something but this is my first ever fanfiction, so I apologize if it's a bit cringy. I tried, okay? I also apologize if updates are a bit skewed, I want to have some sort of new updates every week but with everything that's going on between school and work, it might be a bit tough. I can certainly say that I'm trying my best so if I'm off schedule, please know that I always make sure every chapter is up to par with my standars before I publish it (seriously I can't even tell you how many times I've changed my drafts).
