A near-death experience leads Sylvia Thomas to leave the big city for a brief vacation to a cabin in the mountains. She'd left the grand city of Dol'Sera for a fresh start. A new place. Time to decide where her life was headed now that things had changed.
But things are not as they seem in this new small town.
The military is patrolling day and night, a religious cult preaches of gods long forgotten, there are whispers of things that cannot be, and at times..the earth trembles.
Nothing makes sense, and the longer she stays, the more confusing it gets.
Until one day... Death nearly finds her again, and she wakes up in a collapsed underground passage into a government guarded prison.
When she meets the man-the god who has saved her, she realizes those within the cells still hold more power over the world than she could ever imagine.
Her own world is thrown for a head spin when she gets caught and is forced to work for her freedom. Her only way back to a normal life is to learn the inmate's plans to escape and help prevent it.
She doesn't know if she can. Or if all those inside deserve to be.
But what she knows for certain is that though the world may have forgotten those who dwell in those cells. They have not forgotten the world, and that which was once theirs.

I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end.
