Reyna makes Percy wait in the senate building when Annabeth arrives so he won't make a scene, then prevents him from greeting her when she walks in, leading to a rare case of Annabeth crying because she thinks Percy doesn't remember her.
"Percy stood up abruptly, interrupting Reyna saying something about who the seventh demigod should be. Reyna tried to get his attention, but Percy quickly made his way over to Annabeth, Piper letting go of her as she saw Percy getting close. He grabbed Annabeth's arm gently and pulled her up so that she was standing in front of him. His hands moved to her face, brushing her blonde curls back. Annabeth looked up at him, eyes wide with shock as she stands their frozen.
'I'm so sorry Wisegirl...' Percy whispered before pulling her face to his, connecting their lips in a long-awaited kiss. "

But if she was right, that would be a deadly mistake. Annabeth turned back to Jason. "You sold us out didn't you." "There's only one way to end the schism, Annabeth," Jason said. His remaining eye gleamed. "The Greeks must be wiped out." Reyna raised her hand. "Seize them." "Jason!" Piper cried as two legionaries grabbed her arms. "How could you!" Annabeth grit her teeth but didn't struggle. They couldn't win this fight. And the worst part? She totally saw it coming. This is an au where Jason turns the Greeks over to the Romans instead of cooperating, and the resulting conflict ensues. Can the Greeks and Romans work together?
