"It wasn't him, Magnus. You know that, don't you?" asked Elliott desperately. "He would never murder an innocent woman! Never! You know him!" he said. I nodded.

"I know, Elliott." I said, while hoping that we were talking about the same Alec I met three years ago.

It's been three years. After Magnus and Celine left the Shadowhunters, they went back to their normal lives. They lived just like they did before everything happened. They wouldn't forget what they experienced there but they moved on.

Three years later, they came back, since they needed help desperately. Just as Magnus thought he's over it, he gets to meet the love of his life again. Just not under the circumstances he expected.

Magnus Bane was thirty-three, the world's first trillionaire, a man who had built an empire so vast it seemed to stretch across continents. He owned villas perched on cliffs, sprawling estates, penthouses with views of entire cities, fleets of cars and yachts, art collections, and companies whose influence dictated markets. He was brilliant, sharp-minded, and dangerously intelligent dominant by nature, short-tempered when tested, yet always fair in his own ruthless way. Handsome and magnetic, his body looked as though it had been carved by gods themselves. Magnus lived as men of his stature often did he indulged his appetites. Models, actresses, heiresses, socialites his bed was rarely cold. But for all his ruthlessness, he was not unkind. With the world he was merciless, yet with his family retired and peaceful in their Boston estate he remained a dutiful son. Discipline ruled his life. Each morning at precisely eight, he left his mansion flanked by bodyguards to command the empire he had built, Bane Enterprises. Alexander Lightwood was twenty-seven when he joined Bane Enterprises, a man brilliant in mind and beautiful in form. Tall and lean, with a sharp jawline and a complexion clear as glass, he carried himself with quiet dignity. The beloved son of Robert Lightwood, a retired surgeon, and Maryse Lightwood, a devoted mother, Alec had left his California home for Boston chasing new dreams. He wanted to learn, to grow, to make his mark and the greatest company in the world was his chosen stage. Magnus Bane who had ruled, conquered, and indulged without ever surrendering had fallen. Not gradually, not carefully, but completely. From the moment he saw Alec, he was lost. He tried to resist. He dated women, men, anyone who could distract him from the pull of that one man. But at the end of every night, his thoughts returned to Alec.

Oh, and who are those people with wings? Why do they say Alec is so important? What's this about immortality? A/N: This story takes place after the Shadowhunters TV finale. It is NOT related to the books (and believe me I'd know since I've read them). However, I may include the occasional reference or three. The photos I use in here are not mine so credit to the people responsible. Also, I don't own Shadowhunters cause if I did, the show would've never been cancelled. Hope y'all enjoy! #3 in Malec as of April 4th, 2020 The sequel to this story, An Uncertain Present, is out now! So when you finish this totally check it out!

All with solving some mysterious case and hitting up the court. =Teaser= "You love him. You always did." Magnus scoffs. "I'm not." Alec glared. "Oh, Alexander, please. Do you think i'm blind ?" "If i really love Jace. I. Won't. Marry. Lydia." Alec emphasize every word as if he means it. Magnus rolled his eyes. He pulls Alec's collar. "The only reason you want to marry her is because you thought that maybe the commitment will make you forget him." Magnus point his finger at Alec's chest. "You-" "And just to make yourself better, also prove it to him and to others that you got no feelings whatsoever with him. All because of that stupid one-sided love you got." Magnus smirks. "I told you i have no feelings towards Jace !" Alec throw his fist to magnus's jaw. Magnus spits some blood and then look straight at Alec in the eyes. "Lydia is my friend, in court, in life, one of my best client and prosecutor. I'm not going to let you steal her freedom. You said you don't love Jace ? Fine. Prove it, Alexander." Magnus leans in.
