"I can't believe you! I thought you loved me!" He said tears rolling down his cheeks.
"I thought I did to. Funny how things changed." No that's not what I wanted to say. I wanted to tell him how much I love him, but my words betrayed me.
I wanted to tell him I was sorry, I didn't mean any of it. I wanted to pull him into my embrace and wipe the tears that were falling down his face.
He shook his head backing away from me, "I'm sorry I wasn't worthy of your love." He turned on his heels running into the street to get away from me.
Time seemed to stop, the head lights, the mix of fear and shock on his face, the screeching of brakes, the honking of the horn. I ran into the street after him trying my hardest to reach him in time... But I was to late.
