Anakin Skywalker will not become Darth Vader. Not yet, anyway. Padmé saved him from a lifetime of regret by pulling him out of the fateful battle between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine. But at some point, he still has to decide if his heart lies with the Jedi or the Sith. Palpatine, undeterred by the loss of his potential apprentice, still devises a way to create the Empire and wipe out the vast majority of the Jedi. He sends various threats directly to Anakin and Padmé to convince them that they and their newborn children are in danger. Fearing for their safety, they split. For years, Anakin and Leia wander throughout the galaxy, dodging the Empire and searching for a greater purpose. Meanwhile, Padmé raises Luke while working with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to lead the fight against the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin is constantly tempted by the Dark Side. Padmé struggles to help the Rebels succeed. Their children mean everything to both of them. The story also features other characters we all know and love, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. Most of the story takes place 7 years after Revenge of the Sith. What if Ahsoka took care of Luke and Leia ? This story presents an alternative version of the conclusion of the Episode III of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The idea to develop that story came in my head after seeing the gorgeous fanart made by the very talented arbor_draws on Instagram where Ahsoka holds with one hand Luke's and with the other Leia close to her chest. The pivotal moment is the duel on Mustafar between Vader and Obi-Wan. In this story, Anakin is victorious and brings Padme back with him to save her. Fron that moment, everything changes for the Skywalker family, and for those who are closed to them, especially Anakin's former padawan, Ahsoka Tano. To read this Fanart, you must have seen the Prelogy, but also the Siege of Mandalore Arc in Season 7 of Clone Wars. Some concepts are also developed in the Star Wars Rebels series. Please keep in mind that I'm trying as hard as I can to make the whole story enjoyable to read, but english is not my native language. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. This is a story about Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala if Anakin never became the greatest Sith Lord and Padme never passed in child birth. Anakin left the Jedi order due to having children yet he still tries to make Naboo (the planet he's currently living on) a peaceful and safe environment for him and his family. I know I am using the years BBY in this book however I'm not going to write about the Battle of Yavin as it wouldn't make sense in this book. There would be no death star in this Galaxy meaning the Battle of Yavin wouldn't take place so let's ignore that and pretend they mean something different! In the original movies Leia's last name is Organa due to her adoptive parents however in this story it is Skywalker like her fathers. Also this story has a lot of [* months later] just because it's easier rather than writing a really long story every day until Luke and Leia turn 20, it's also just the months when babies start doing things like talking, crawling teething etc. The story is different and is not like how it is in ROTS!!!
