I wrapped my fingers around the edge of the wall, peering across to get a glimpse of what was going on in Peeta's backyard. I could've sworn I heard children, but I wouldn't be surprised if my nightmares were manifesting into full-on hallucinations.
But no. They weren't.
A group of ten or fifteen children with dark hair and olive skin were running around the green grass... Eating. Some had cookies and cupcakes, others had bread and sandwiches. In the back was a long table with even more food piled onto plates, available for anyone to take. The man standing behind the table, running a hand through his blonde hair, was Peeta Mellark
