At that exact moment, three explosions sounded in the distance. Followed by the sprinkler system flicking on. Shalnark paused, slowly turning over to you. Staring for a long moment before speaking, "You brought bombs?" You stared back, considering telling him that they were, in fact, just fireworks. You decided against it, "Something like that." Wanting to see how long it'd take for either their new roommate to realize they're wanted terrorists, or until one of them gets bored and kills them. Unexpectedly this meaningless idea on how to spend a week or two turns out to be much more. - This is a Gender Neutral xReader story.
