Oliver was raised under the King's arm for most of his life. He barely can remember his days as a Merchant's apprentice, but still the past will taunt him. Where did he come from? Why did his old master want to keep him away from the Royal courts? What are the scars marking his face that everyone seems to fear? When the King dies and the Queen takes over, he is charged with a quest. One that he will surely die from.

Marcellus is busy. More and more people seem to stray onto his island home attempting to kill him and his mother. No one explains why and no one can live long enough to say, but one such victim's last words caught his attention. "Curse you Dragonborn." When his mother clamps shut on the subject, the lizards start talking to him, and he finds a peculiar letter, Marcellus starts to question who is he really? And what if his life is a lie?

The world has begun to unravel at the edges. Life is slipping away as war rampages throughout the world. Magic is beginning to break free form the chains humanity has put on it. And when a villain turns hero, a princess goes rogue, and high school girls get thrown into alternate universes, nothing good can come out of it.

The Trials of Gideon Book 2: Steal the Dark

14 parts Complete

Gideon's got a riddle, a cursed tomb, and a new mess of problems. He finds himself in the middle of France, with an old enemy and a new foe. He's in a dead zone with no magic, no idea how he got here, and no plan. It's 1445, everyone's got a secret, and an old grudge is about to turn deadly for the people of Wales and England alike. Sequel Series to Last Knights of Cambria series, and the Days of the Dead trilogy, ergo it contains spoilers for those. Similar narrative style and tone, that is if you want English history explained like Lemony Snicket, then this is for you. Ahem. Living people die, dead people live. Swords. Epic Battles. Mysterious riddles. Coded messages. True love. Traitors. Murder. Found families. Yes, Henry V is here and he is awesome. Did we mention swords? Battles are described in loving detail. People are not. Yes you may learn something about the Siege of Meaux, but that's a risk you're going to have to take. Content Warning: some violence, peril, and some strong language. Death issues discussed. A character may be seen as suicidal. A character experiences issues relating to an abusive parent. Some family trauma. Some dark humor.
