With the Heart, they would be able to save their kingdoms crops and pull the kingdom out of the dark days. However, within a few days of traveling through the forest, they are attacked and lost in the forest, with only a servant and knight for company. Mal, a dragon witch, lives in the forest with her two sons, Janus and Virgil. Though the three are powerful, Mal made enemies with the fae who have ever since been trying to kidnap Janus for revenge. Luckily, or maybe unfortunately, they ignore Virgil for the most part since he was adopted. When they cross paths with the humans, things get a bit... messy. He made his way to the door a few feet away, ignoring the sound of movement behind him. "Virgil, wait!" Roman grabbed onto his wrists, stopping him. Instantly, the anxiety bubbled up inside of him and Virgil's hand began to shake. "Please let me go..." He mumbled, the sound barely audible, even in the uncomfortable silence that hung in the room like smog. "Virge-" "Please..." A single tear dropped from one of his eyes as he squeezed them both shut as tight as he could. Slowly, Roman's grip loosened and Virgil reached for the doorknob, slipping out of the room and into the safety of his own. ATTENTION: This book is undergoing editing. In some places, it's major, like deleting an entire scene, and in others, I need to change wording around because I don't have an editor to tell me that things sound like shit.
