Evie Wilson has always been easy to overlook. Quiet, polite, and a little peculiar, she keeps her head down and avoids drawing attention to herself.

Unfortunately, someone is paying attention.

Branton, the university's Head of Security, has spent months watching Evie from a distance. Learning her routines. Noticing the things nobody else does. Convincing himself he understands her better than anyone ever could.

Trapped in an isolated house with a man whose obsession has long since crossed the line into madness, Evie quickly realises there is more than one side to her captor. One is possessive. The other is far worse.

As the boundaries between personalities begin to blur, Evie finds herself caught in a dangerous power struggle where the rules are constantly changing and disobedience comes at a cost.

To survive, she'll have to learn which version of Branton she's dealing with.
