Marinette was pregnant with her daughter Emma when her then husband, Nathaniel, left and divorced her. After she gave birth, she relied on her parents and friends to support her as she went about being a mom, university student, and an intern at a fashion house. 

Hawkmoth has been silent for a long time, but as Nathaniel tries to weed his way back into Mari's life and in between her budding relationship with Adrien, Hawkmoth decides to pull a doozy, and might just end up in the looney bin. 

A/N: Hey! A few things you should know, the story alternates between Mari and Adrien's perspectives. Odd chapters are Mari's, evens are Adrien's.
