Baz's plans are immediately put to a halt, however, once he returns to find that Simon Snow has been cursed, is chronically ill, and is due to die in less than a week. But breaking the curse is easy - all Baz has to do is admit that he loves the other boy more than anyone else ever will. What Baz doesn't know is that there's always someone lurking outside his window when he tells these stories. Ever since Simon was born, he knew that the real world wasn't the place for him. His mother died during childbirth and his father, in turn, became an abusive drunk. So, when Simon was seventeen, he escaped to Neverland where he would never have to grow up and be like his father. Now that he's been there for so long (he lost track of the years overtime) he starts to wander back into the real world to see how things have changed. One night he hears, through an open window, a silky voice telling stories of Simon Snow the Great Adventurer. The boy that didn't want to grow up. So Simon hovers outside the window night after night, just to hear what the boy has to say. One night, Simon finds himself going in through the window to try and find his shadow and meets the mysterious story-teller. Who, as he finds out, is not just mysterious--he is incredibly attractive.
