this is there perfect combination of two aesthetics: an adventure, late-night, rollerskating type of summer with also a hint of romance by the moonlit lake.

Lori is fourteen years old and is unpacking her things to stat the summer at her families summer lake house. She is excited for this summer and cannot wait to see what is in store for her. By the second week of summer, Lori and her sister decide to from a rollerskating club. In addition to being a fully participant for the club, Lori is also trying to find people her age to hang out with. She notices that there is a boy her age directly across the lake from her. The friendship between Lori and the boy will slowly start to consume her night activities. In all, this is what happens to Lori in the hot summer of '84.
