12-year-old Christina Wilson becomes locked in her attic at the hands of her tyrannical, fearful, step-mother due to being accused of having a strange disease. Christina struggles to survive her situation, having only her thoughts and books as salvation. Yet her step-mother isn't her only adversary, something dangerous lurks in the darkness.
