Pre-Apocalypse, Lucia Adams suffered many ordeals. Some more than others. her adult life was anything but easy. With her parents dead, and her being the only one to look after her sister, she grew up pretty fast.
She's not someone who likes to be the centre of attention. She's shy, quiet, reserved, and actually quite awkward in most situations. With her sister now an adult and both of them working full time jobs, Lucia is finally back at a place of security. Things are finally looking up for her! Until the dead start walking and her sister is no where to be found.
When Lucia turns up at a prison with an injured friend, how will the group react? Will the secrets of her past be revealed? And will they let her stay if they know them? How will the crossbow wielding badass of the group take to someone who is very similar to him, yet so different?

Her family died and her sister went missing, she was believed to be dead so she never cared to look.... Lauren learned early on how to take care of herself no matter the cost, or who's around once she realized she'd always be alone... or so she thought. she lived on the run constantly looking over her shoulder, she came across groups but they never lasted and died and always left her alone. Lauren just went where the day took her with only 2 objectives on her mind; food and water. As her path stretches, things become more complicated and she finds that food, water and shelter are the last things on her mind. This story tells Lauren's journey before she met the infamous rick grimes and what she has to go through before she crosses their path and it all leads up to their big meeting on the rail road tracks, a spy and a cure. Will she ever find her sister? Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs. I do not own The walking dead characters or scenes, only characters I made up outside of the cast. If i accidentally stole ideas from anyone it was not on purpose; I haven't read any twdfanfic. Athena was traveling around the country seeing her family after losing her husband in a car accident a year before the fall.
