Pre-Apocalypse, Lucia Adams suffered many ordeals. Some more than others. her adult life was anything but easy. With her parents dead, and her being the only one to look after her sister, she grew up pretty fast.
She's not someone who likes to be the centre of attention. She's shy, quiet, reserved, and actually quite awkward in most situations. With her sister now an adult and both of them working full time jobs, Lucia is finally back at a place of security. Things are finally looking up for her! Until the dead start walking and her sister is no where to be found.
When Lucia turns up at a prison with an injured friend, how will the group react? Will the secrets of her past be revealed? And will they let her stay if they know them? How will the crossbow wielding badass of the group take to someone who is very similar to him, yet so different?

"Long-term Hiatus, working on rewrite!" --------------------------------------------------------------- Ford Dixon was the youngest of the three Dixon brothers, just barely twelve years old when the world went to shit. A stubborn, quiet, almost shy boy looking for his brothers in an apocalypse world with the dead roaming around eating the living. Kill or be killed. He learned to cope with it. Holding out in a hospital after leaving his house he finds comatose Rick Grimes and decides to stay and make sure Rick is taken care of. Shortly after Rick awakes, they run into Morgan and Duane Jones. Over the course of the 11 years of a normal life, Ford had he had been reported missing nearly 13 times and ran away from home, the longest span of time being 3 weeks, nearly a month. He's been out hunting with both his brothers. Normally hiding away in the woods until his brothers found him. This story tells Lauren's journey before she met the infamous rick grimes and what she has to go through before she crosses their path and it all leads up to their big meeting on the rail road tracks, a spy and a cure. Will she ever find her sister? Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Athena was traveling around the country seeing her family after losing her husband in a car accident a year before the fall. She thought that they were perfect for one another and losing him shook her to her core. She was in Georgia when the world started to go to hell. After traveling alone for few months into the apocalypse, she stopped to sleep in the woods when she heard two engines stop late into the night. She went closer to the camp, snapping a twig.
