Brizo Eldoris lived a quaint and comfortable life in District 4. Her days were spent at school learning skills that she knew she would forget the second she left the wretched place of education and entered the workforce. Her afternoons were spent fishing at the marina with her younger brother, Skipper, trying to catch as many fish as they could in order to sell them to their neighbors for some spare pocket change. If they were lucky, Finnick Odair would be visiting home from the Capital, and he would be kind enough to buy out their entire stock for much more than it was worth.

But, there was always something that Brizo saw in the older man's eyes when she and Skipper would ring his door bell with eager smiles. She saw a glint of something (- perhaps... sadness?) as he looked at them from his doorway. She never quite understood what exactly she saw shining in the man's sea green eyes; at least not until one tragic Reaping Day.

Most people in her district would consider being Reaped a great honor and a chance to bring home glory to their people, but when Brizo saw the tears shining in Finnick's eyes as he watched her and another fifteen year old boy standing on the stage in front of District 4, she finally deciphered what that mysterious look was: regret and sorrow. That's when she knew that she would be returning home as nothing but a mangled corpse in a wooden casket instead as the prideful Victor that each tribute aspired to become.
