Clara knew that it was bound to happen. The moment she got a hold of her grandmother's last will, her world turned upside down. It was a sudden turn of events and nor did she think expect to ever accept the current predicament. She knew that her choice or not, she will still do her job as a lady of nobility--to marry the man her grandmother wrote about. Wondering but still determined to do so, she unlocked her cage and broke free.
Xander did not intend to marry at his current age, let alone some girl of foreign blood. He was the second prince, for Pete's sake! He was supposed to do the dirty work of the royal family. He has blood-stained hands and to hold a woman of such conservative background isn't a very good thought. He was so sure that he won't really get tied to the lady--until he met her for the first time.
