With only one other soul for company, Elena and her fellow traveller must make their way from D.C. to L.A., undoing her unfortunate actions and returning to her time before both of their embodiments are lost forever to the dangers of time-travel. But when a seemingly harmless holdup along the way morphs into a psychological test of wills and leaves her and her sidekick scarred and desperate, Elena finds herself wondering: why is this happening to me?
