Charli Halpert, the 'final' member to The Specials, has a lot riding on her. Everyone wants to be part of The Special, but even more want to crack there identity. Just one mess up can ruin your chances. The past generations don't like being replaced, so when an uprising happens will the new team handle it?

Sophomore year can get a whole lot harder.
If she was being honest with herself, it was all cliche, but that's half the fun isn't it?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Don't touch me, please." I say and run further to the edge. It was to much. The overwhelming feeling as the walls continued to cave in, which was dramatic for being on top of a roof. "Charli, just stop running for it! Nothing will ever change if you keep running." he said and takes a step closer.
I hate that I felt so alone even with someone standing right there to help me. I couldn't do it and the thought of it hurt more. "Not until I can do this," I say and run. I'm no speedster but maybe those two years of little league softball could kick in?
It's no secret that some people use their unique gifts to do good, and some use them to do evil. Your classic heroes and villains, if you will. But what about the middle people? The people born with powers, not the kinds that let you fly, or crush cars with your mind, or turn your enemies into puddles of goo before you, the ones that are not quite considered "super". What are they supposed to do? Their powers aren't strong enough to categorize them as hero or villain. Imagine Knife Man or Spoon Girl with the power to control cutlery, do you honestly think they would hold up in a fight against anyone else? Being a superhero without powers is hard enough, being a superhero with a useless super power is damn impossible. Andrew, Carter, and Heather knew that their unique abilities would be worthless if they made themselves full time heroes or villains. Instead, they use their "uselessness" to their advantage. The trio makes their living in their own respected fields, but they come together as the best band of thieves in the world. Nobody would ever suspect three seemingly innocent young adults of 45 high profile theft cases. There is nothing extraordinary about them after all, no crazy hair colors, no fire blasting out of their mouths. It's the perfect cover. When the group steals a valuable, but at the same time worthless, artifact from a museum in Tokyo, they find themselves caught in the crossfire between the National Superhero League and a new super villain on the rise. And since the heroes can't seem to be doing their one job right, the group steps out of the shadows and takes matters into their own hands.
After a careless scientific accident with new elements, people with supernatural abilities began to surface. Society adjusted, and social norms changed. Heroes and villians surfaced, making the world more complicated. Fast-forward one hundred years. Neera Sanchez fights for her survival as a supervillain. She does what she can to survive, inadvertently making her a target for the heroes. Behind her mask, she struggles in personal battles, alone. When her abusive boyfriend and her own fight against depression overtake her, she's introduced to the world of superheroes. Vincent Ciobanu is a new hero at a local base. He introduces himself to the ex-villain and takes Neera's focus away from the pain and suffering she had been used. Neera grows as she gets used to her new life. Times change and things shift for the worse as Neera's ex, Koen James, comes back into her life stronger as a supervillain, threatening the peace of the world and the freedom Neera discovered. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Neera's eyes closed and her chest rose as she breathed deeply, trying her hardest to focus her power on the heroes nearing her. She opened her eyes, watching intently as the heroes slowly crowded on the rooftop around her. The moon illuminated their serious masked faces and flashy suits, giving Neera the opportunity to figure out what powers they might possess. She kept her eyes halfway closed and studied them. Most of the suits were at least 75% black. One hero stuck out in her blue suit. It had no black on it. Neera was wary of the color of her suit. /How did I end up here?/ One of the heroes had surprised her with a lucky hit almost a minute ago. She had felt the impact and acted on it, diving to the ground. She had a better fighting chance against the six when they were caught off guard. And if one of them had the ability to purify water, it would all go down hill. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Romance; mental-health awareness; superheroes; abuse
