Comatose (Pacific Rim) // On Hold

Emery Grace wants nothing more than to become a Jaeger pilot. So much so, she enrols in the Jaeger Academy and moves to Alaska to train there. In Emery's eyes, it was the most awesome thing on the planet until she met him. Chuck Hansen.

He's cocky, arrogant and the exact opposite of what a Ranger should be. Chuck befriends Emery without her consent, but as he listens to nobody, her protests fall on deaf ears.

They become close friends and are told that they are Drift Compatible. And when a real-life Jaeger - Scarlet Hazard - is brought in for the Rangers-in-training to experience and possibly pilot, Emery and Chuck are first in line.

But something goes wrong when they are in the Jaeger, Emery starts seizing and falls into a coma while Chuck remains unharmed.

Five years later, Emery remains comatose. The doctors receive permission to cut off her life support, against Chuck's will, but a week before it is scheduled to happen, Emery mysteriously wakes up. But with Kaiju attacks increasing in frequency, a Kaiju support terrorist group rising in popularity and an old pilot back on the scene, will Emery be able to survive in a world so different from the one she once knew?
