Rose is in an abusive relationship but doesn't no how to get out of it. Her boyfriend, Jesse Zeklos, takes her out for dinner one night to apologise for 'accidentally' hitting her, while there eating Rose says something that infuriates Jesse more causing him to scare her and she flees out of the restaurant. Somewhere down the road she sits down on a bench and lets all of her emotions out, a young, certain Russian sees her crying and, being the gentlemen he is, tries to comfort her. Rose finds herself opening up to Dimitri and he lets her stay at his apartment for the night so she doesn't have to see Jesse.
