Nova used to be rescuing other slaves of the government like herself, but then she was kidnapped by a Taker. Now instead of continuing her greatest work, she must play the role of an obedient wife. Otherwise, her and her father's efforts to save the cyborgs is in vain. And once her secrets are spilled, there is no hope for the new species of humans to be truly free.
