"Finding happiness is like a needle in a haystack. That doesn't change the fact that the needle is still there. It's just up to you to put in the work and find it." His hand slid over mine and in his grasp, he gently closed my hand into a fist, "and when you do, never let it go."

When life handed Hayley Peterson lemons, she threw them away. It had nothing to do with whether she liked them or not. It was solely because they were rotten the moment they fell into her hands. At the age of sixteen, one is expected to be as normal as any ordinary teenager. Enjoying life, living to the fullest whilst making many memories and mistakes along the way.

But for Hayley, her life was anything but ordinary. Being young, funny and beautiful never once made up for the angry demons lurking beneath Hayley's skin. Demons who persistently dragged her through the mud of depression, anger, anxiety, and loneliness.

She may be in constant mental torment unable to find happiness where she hoped to, but happiness comes in many forms, places and people like Parker Nguyen, the guy who not only observed those in dire need of happiness but willingly gave to others what he barely had for himself.

When life shoves the two into the other's open arms, they both make it their duty to somehow build a wall of happiness around their inner turmoils. A girl who experienced nothing but pain and regret in her early childhood and a boy who sought out to fix damaged people when he was damaged himself.

Will Parker and Hayley be able to help one another in ways others have failed to and confront their demons head-on? Or will they both succumb to a future of never-ending darkness?

As time ticks by, Hayley documents the passing days of her life, hoping that the people she loves would understand the thoughts that never made it past her lips.

** SAMPLE ** She is like July, she is the heat of the summer, the scent of the most beautiful flower, the taste of the sweetest fruit, refreshing like a bath in the ocean, full of life and happiness. She is my sun. That's what I thought about when I told the tattoo artist to write these words on my heart. For everyone else, these are just some cryptic words they don't understand. To me, they mean only one thing. 'The truly beautiful part of life starts with July.' With Jay. It was my first tattoo, but I guess it's true what people always say, tattoos are addictive! I may not have gotten more than this one yet, but there is no doubt others will follow in the future. A future I only hope I won't have to spend alone. But Jay was at our concert tonight. She is alive and she's still here, in Manchester, in the same city I am currently in. And will be for another fifteen hours before the plane takes me back to London. That means I have fifteen hours to find her. Nate Fox is the face of the British rock band Devil's Entourage. Writing one heart-melting hit after the other, he could have every girl he wants. But his heart only belongs to her. Jay. His best friend, the girl he couldn't help falling in love with. The girl who disappeared without a word of goodbye... What happens when they meet again after two years of silence? When Nate has to realise that she had to go through times harder than he could have ever suspected. Times that left the girl once known as the Devil's Daughter nothing but a shadow of herself.

(A/N) 9/13/19 - dude stop reading this trevor isn't straight and i regret writing this i'm keeping it up as a way to never forget my.... disgusting and humble roots. **** 1/21/17 - people are still reading this?! BOI i was like twelve when i wrote this and it's so cringy looking back at it, i apologize in advANCE IF YOU ARE STARTING THIS ITS JUST SO CRINGE --------- it has been brought up to my attention about the new Wattpad guidelines. I will write it in here and the chapters that feature some obscure/unhealthy actions, as trigger warnings. I do not condone nor want to glorify any events that happen in this book or any other of my books, so please do not believe I think it's okay. It's not okay. As a person who has been through depression and so forth, I am here for those who want to talk about it. There are also multiple online references/resources, if you are uncomfortable with discussing what is wrong. It's alright and there is help you can seek in multiple forms. Please be safe and remember that nothing can destroy what you have in your heart. You are special and I love you. There are multiple trigger warnings (self-harm, depression, abuse from others) in this story. Thank you for reading this. xx Description: Two worlds colliding. Is that what this would be called, or was it fate? Whatever this was defined as, it definitely changed multitudinous lives. Tabitha Ellis, a fourteen year old girl, has moved all the way from Melbourne, Australia (or wherever you want her to live, this is a fanfiction, but that was where I felt it was right), to LA. One of her first adventures here, was to visit the beach - and, so she did! But not without having an encounter with the one and only; Trevor Moran. One fall could be the cause of a huge mess of massive proportions, positive and negative. Is always going to last forever.... or will something, perhaps someone, get in the way of that?

[Featured by wattpad romance, teen fiction, young adult and psychologicalnovel] Joy Jones was a seventeen-year-old kind and optimistic girl working in her grandpa's flower shop, but she had a secret. She was suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and wanted nothing, but to die peacefully. That was until Logan Kellerman, a young man with suicidal tendencies came storming into her life and stole roses from her grandpa's flower shop. Instead of running away with what he came for, he found himself falling deeper and deeper into her as she made his heart skip in delight, for she was, in her own words, a little bit of Joy. * * * from some of my readers of this book, thanks❤- ❝I LOVE YOUR STORY OKAY.
