What would you do if the world you once knew was gone?
Climate change caused the ice in Antarctica melt, releasing a deadly pathogen that caused the widespread and incurable disease. This combined with an unstable economy and food shortages, turned the world to anarchy and eventually destroyed itself.
Keegan is a lone wolf. She doesn't want nor need anyone. She has turned her back on the world just as the world has turned on her. Her world is ruin, her belly empty but her heart full of rage. After a series of betrayals and heartbreak such as her dad selling her for money in the increasingly unstable economy, she is alone, looking out for herself, just the way she likes it.
That is until she meets Ryker who is searching for his brother who was taken by a cruel and deadly gang. Keegan sees the oppurtunity to inflict the pain that was once inflicted on her. Will Keegan puts aside her hatrd for others in order to seek her revenge or will her anger cause her demise?

**COMPLETED** Several years after the world succumbed to a deadly strain of measles that turned those infected into crazed, mindless cannibals, Charlotte wanders the backroads alone, content with surviving day-to-day. That is until she crosses paths with Nate and his daughter, Emmi. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. "I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. Stuck With Me
I stop at the door taking another huge breath and walk in. I go up to the desk and wait for the lady to get off the phone which standing here is making me even more nervous She puts the phone down and finally speaks "Yes, how may I help you." how cliché "I have an appointment here for result, I am Keegan Summers." I say she looks up with wide eyes at me, her face pales and she gulps. What?! "The doctor will see you right away!" she says urgently, and buzzes the door open. "go straight down the hall into the last door on the left." she says smiling. "Thank you." I say shaky and even more scared than before. Oh no, even the front counter lady knows about me which makes it even worse. I walk down the hall slowly savoring the moment. I get to the door and breathe. Then I walk in. I see my doctor sitting at her desk doing some paperwork and I shut the door and she looks up and frowns at me. "Keegan sit down please." she says lowly not even looking me in the face. "No I won't, I came all the way here just to find out. I have been sick way to long and I just wannt to know. Just say it, spit it out right now because I am panicking. What's wrong with me?" I say demandingly. "Keegan, it's as simple as this, your dying." I freeze. Everything freezes. Did she just say what I think she said? Keegan Summers has to face the hardest struggle a teenage girl shouldn't have to face. Death! Along with her father who she thought wouldn't ever abuse her again, but things could change.
