Cecilia Milton isn't human. She hasn't been for over eight hundred years. But when you're powerful, there are always those who are more powerful. She decides that attending college will make her appear more like a human and less conspicuous to those looking for her - hunting her. 

However, at college Cecilia meets Jason King - the young man living every guy's dream life. He has the beautiful girlfriend, perfect grades and is the running back for his college's football team. When he meets her, his perfect life starts to fall apart around him and he's thrust into a world of supernatural horrors and nightmares he never knew even existed. 

Slowly and unexpectedly, Cecilia develops an unrequited love for the mortal man. She doesn't expect him to find out what she really is, for her secret to be exposed. Her carefully composed lies begin to crumble around her and as those hunting her start to gain on her, Cecilia must decide whether the love she feels for the human is worth risking her life over.
