Miril has been raised by Halbarad of the dúnedain after her forebearers came from Arnor, and before that Numenor, and even before that from Beleriand. She and her family are destined for things she doesn't quite comprehend yet. Though a seasoned ranger already, having faced the trials of the North for nearly 40 years, things hardly get easier with age.

But before she can step into her own story, she journeys with her best friends, the twin sons of Elrond, running errands leading up to the War of the Ring. Her love of battle and craving for revenge for a death in her past leads to a discovery coming to light that some thought should've been kept hidden. They also might point to the truth of her parentage.

When she starts having strange dreams about a swan ship, an oathbreaker, and a shining jewel, things just get crazier.

Needs a rewrite and general editing since it's 6+ years old, but I still like the premise and it spawned many sequels so... Please bear that in mind.

With her skill with both bow and blade as well as the axe and daggers, she is sought out by Lord Elrond to attend a meeting of all the great races in Rivendell. There she meets Aragon, an old friend or hers who is a fellow ranger and she also makes the acquaintance of a dwarf, an elven prince, four hobbits, a wizard and two men. Along with her trusty wolf companion, Nasha, and her horse, StarLight, Sapphire is swept up in a quest to save Middle-Earth. She forges long lasting friendships with those around her and finds herself getting close to the elven prince even though they start as rivals. This is a Legolas love story but if any of you have read my other fan fictions then you know I love character development and so this is likely to take a long time to get started. Also, I know there are like a billion fan fictions with the same plot, that being a female elf who is part of the fellowship and ends up falling in love with Legolas. I know every fan fic is basically that plot repeated over and over again but I just said, 'what the hell, if you can't beat them, join them' so I made this.
