Twice the Ex, Still the One
Loriana and Nicholas were that couple-jaw-dropping chemistry, inside jokes, power couple energy. Everyone wanted what they had. The weddings? The vacations? The love notes in coffee cups? Perfect. Until the night it all unraveled. At her sister's wedding, Loriana tries to call her husband Nicholas, who's supposedly away on a business trip. No answer. Until a stranger picks up his phone-a girl from the club, sitting on his lap, laughing into the camera, telling Loriana that "he's busy right now." And Nicholas? Slumped, drunk, completely out of it. A week later, he returns. No real explanation. Just a note, a screenshot of that humiliating moment, and divorce papers on the kitchen counter. Loriana left without looking back. It was just a joke. I wanted to give her one last 'fuck you' before she got married to the guy I always wanted. "I don't want you to freak out..." mom tells me with a soft sigh. Rubbing her fingers against her forehead as she looks puzzled. Thats been her attitude since she came home from her business trip. Worried. "Tell me." I demand trying to become less impatient than I already am. Which at this point isn't possible. "I'm getting married.." - Gracelyn Marigo a 15 yr old, her mom is a single parent after her father's passing away years before. She is a bubbly, sarcastic girl. She lights up a room as soon as she arrives. She expects her mother to married another at some point, but what she doesn't expect is for her mother to marry a man with 6 sons. Her soon to be stepbrothers. With the new transition, directed anger is a constant companion of hers. They hate her, but she finds out that their family has a lot sadder secrets than they let on. Not having a choice, but to live there. She wants to try and uncover them and solve them. Will she be too invading and they don't allow her to get close? or will she start to warm their hearts and soon make the detached vacant house into a home?
