Kiyoko Shimizu started her final year in high school like any other year this past three years, but this year, however, something felt different. She was still surrounded by familiar people she'd been with since she first started as the Manager for the Karasuno High School Volleyball team, and they welcomed four newbies this year to keep their roster afloat if not brimming to the top. She was also on a quest to find her replacement before the third years had to leave the club to focus more on their studies and where they planned to go after high school.
So why was it that she felt something shifted after they started recruiting new club members?
