Phantom Of The Opera
It's 1886, five years after Christine left the Phantom of the Opera in the lair under the Opera Populaire. Two days later, the front page on all the newspapers was; 'Mob rids world of murderous Phantom'. Christine had cried for her Angel of music since then. Or that is until Raoul de Changy, her fiancee, catches her crying in her room and drags her down to the Opera house. She would never have believed what waited for her there. In that moment, Christine makes a choice that would change her life. 'We are here to settle this once and for all. Is she yours or mine?' ------ This is an awful description, but please give this a chance. I imagine the cast from the 25th Anniversary performance of the Phantom of the Opera and the Royal Albert Hall (Ramin Karimloo as Phantom, Sierra Boggess as Christine and Hadley Fraser as Raoul).

Eighteen-year-old Christine is a singer in the Paris Opera. A strange man is watching her behind her dressing room and wants her to be his wife. He tricks her into believing that he is an angel from heaven, the Angel of Music. Eighteen-year-old Raoul is in love with her, but marriage is frowned upon because of the class difference between them. He is from minor royalty and she is from a poor family. He is suspicious of this "angel" and tries to rescue Christine from him when he kidnaps her and takes her to his home in the caverns underneath the opera house. This is my adaptation of the original book "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. The book is now in the Public Domain. I have edited it for grammar and deleted a few parts that didn't contribute much to the story. I also changed the ending a bit. The illustrations are original pen and ink drawings by me. The story is not a "great romance," like the publicity from the stage play would like you to think. It is more of a crime/mystery/detective story.
