❝ I feel it deep within! It's just beneath the skin! I must confess that I feel like a monster! I hate what I've become! The nightmare's just begun! I must confess that I feel like a monster! I, I feel like a monster! I, I feel like a monster! ❞ | REWRITING | Din Djarin had known bounty hunting for most of his life. Ever since he was a young boy, he was fascinated by the tales of Mandalorian bounty hunters who tracked dangerous targets across the galaxy. While others his age dreamed of becoming pilots or soldiers, Din knew that the solitary life of a bounty hunter suited him best. It was a career that he could work alone while still traveling to new planets. By his teenage years, Din had learned enough skills to take some small jobs on his home planet of Mandalore. He started by tracking petty criminals and debtors, getting a feel for tracking targets and bringing them in alive as the bounties required. With each successful capture, his reputation in the bounty hunting circles grew. Before long, only a few more years of experience separated him from handling the most risky and high-paying bounties in the parsec. That was all well before he knew her. An elusive white beauty by the name of Petals had begun evading capture by bounty hunters across the outer rim territories. People called her a monster for some mysterious acts that caused harm, and they wanted her gone. Din had never seen her himself, as she was too quick to evade all who pursued her. But then one day, his search for a low-level smuggler led him to a remote forest moon, where he came upon a sight that would change his life forever.

Mando needs a guide to the Madlands, she needs a ride that can keep her one step ahead of the Ministry. ------ Set after The Mandalorian season two: Searching for his lost Tribe, Mando has followed hints of a trail all the way to the Madlands - a distant and notoriously difficult corner of the galaxy. Between the ever-shifting spatial anomalies and the sector's primary syndicate, he'll need a guide. The information trader that he takes aboard the Razor Crest can certainly help in his search, if they can both stay ahead of the growing trouble she seems to have gotten herself into. ------ Thank you for taking a look at my story - a plot-rich slow-burn with (what I feel are) rewarding pay-offs, plus some fun and adventure along the way! ------ Here's a sample paragraph (spoiler-alert!): "Mando settled back into the pilot's seat while Grey took her spot and dragged a datapad onto her lap. When he looked back a few minutes later, she was fast asleep. He sighed, stood, and came to move the screen out of her limp hands. As he carefully pulled it away, the signet caught his attention. She was still wearing it, perhaps hadn't once taken it off. Her cloak was unclasped, and the pendant sat half on the skin of her sternum, half on the soft fabric of her tank as it swelled over her breasts. Having the metal wrought into the shape of his Mudhorn had probably been a level of detail beyond what the ruse required. But he hadn't wanted to give her someone else's mark, or even something more general. Staring at it as it rose and fell with each of her breaths, Mando felt the surge of an emotion that he knew had no place to go." Notes: • Diverges from in-show plot points beginning with the Book of Boba Fett • Canon-compliant, with one ship-sized exception: the Razor Crest was not destroyed (because, Razor Crest) • Beyond Mando himself, mostly original characters + all original narrative, worlds, etc. • Plot-rich slow-burn • Rating: M - Mild Violence & Smut

Aldor's Eye - Part I

12 parts Complete Mature

Loss of faith and purpose have driven Mando and Grogu into the Unknown Regions in search of cover. Din is sent down a new path when he meets a beautiful hermit on an uncharted planet. Din is distrustful of a woman who claims to remember Grogu from the Jedi Temple, but gives in to Grogu's wishes, and allows her to train his Foundling son. The peace he finds on The Eye reveals long-buried secrets, and forces him to acknowledge the power rising within him. Meanwhile, the Galaxy is crumbling under the pressure of Imperial Remnants. When foes and refugees come to disturb Din's newfound peace, he must decide whether to turn his back on the Galaxy or to embrace his destiny as a reluctant leader. **Strays from canon around Season 3 - many liberties taken with Star Wars canon outside the Mandoverse** ***Aldor's Eye, Part II is in progress, but may take me a bit. Will see more familiar characters and maybe a couple new ones. Will learn more about the Old Republic Saber, Aldor's past, and Clan Djarin's future.*** PLEASE: Leave your feedback and let me know what you think. **Thanks so much for reading the first installment of what I hope will be a series. This is my therapy, and I hope it helps you too.**** **Proper cover coming soon.**
